I would understand the disrespect thing, maybe not just dating someone's ex, but sleeping with him while a sister had dated him shows major class issues and wouldn't sound like the kind of person a sorority would want to represent them. That makes all the sense in the world. Having a sister just "not like you" seems to make sense to as to why the other sisters could vouch for you. It sounds totally reasonable and super supportive that if a sister had a major legitimate character reason to prefer a pnm to not get a bid from her sorority that the chapter would honor that - after all, the pnm would be representing the entire sisterhood.
