id say its the opposite for sororities. used to be certain sororities didn't take anyone from the north (literally) but in the last 7-10 years its changed, all the sororities take yankees. other sec schools are not as open as we are. for fraterniies, it is way harder if you aren't from the south. the "top" fraternities will take a few guys from DMV, but outside of that you don't see it. the middle tier (pi kapp, ato, chi psi, pike) will take a lot more from outside of the south.
