It's a great way to be introduced to an older crowd who can help you live your collegiate life to the fullest The best social events and parties are most prevalent in the Greek community You make friends with people with whom you share common morals and ideals, and those friendships are meant to last a lifetime You can throw those letters on a resume (less influential nowadays though) A vast network of people, many of these connections will be invaluable later on and much much more.
