DO NOT SUICIDE Lets say you have two houses, A and B, for pref. You like A house better than B house. Every sorority has a bid list and everyone at pref is somewhere on that list, you could be 1 or 200. For the sake of this example lets say they can only take 100 girls. If you are number 100 on A house's list and you put A house first for pref, you will get A house. Maybe you were number 20 on B houses list, but because you put them second for pref and you were in A houses top 100 you will still get A house!! If you were number 120 on A houses list and 20 girls in A houses top 100 choose the other sorority they prefed, you will move up to spot 100 on A houses list and still get A house! Every single girl in B house could want you more than any other PNM but as long as you are in the top 100 of A houses bid list, and you put A house down first for pref, you will get A house. However, if you are 120 on A houses list and only 1 girl in A houses top 100 chooses the other sorority they prefed, you would only move up to number 119 and would get the bid from B house because you were not in A houses top 100 and you were in B houses top 100. If you aren't in the top 100 for either houses lists and its guaranteed bidding, I assume whatever house has you listed higher is forced to take you.
