I rushed as a Freshman. On Pref Day, I had 1 sorority I loved and 1 sorority I didn’t like at all. My PiChis told me not to suicide bc then I couldn’t do COB or Spring Rush. They also said I would prob get my 1st choice. Neither was true. Your name is going to be higher on the newer/lower ranked house, so you will match with the “lower” house before the middle or upper houses. I got into a sorority that I wound up not liking at all, and dropped before initiation. I had to wait until Sophomore year to try again, which worked out. But if I had suicided, I prob would have gotten in my preferred house. Or I could have a chance for COB or rushed in January.
