something similar happened to me last fall. i liked the two sororities that i preffed, my second choice was actually my favorite at first, but then after pref round i picked the more "popular" one because i thought i liked it more and would fit in there better. on bid day i ended up with my second choice. i didn't think i would be upset because they were both awesome sororities, but it really hurt me because i had no idea what went wrong. but honestly, in the end i fit in a lot better with the sorority i ended up in and i realized that it was the right place for me, and i love my sorority and my sisters! just stick it out for a little, get involved in all the sorority events and get to know some of the girls and you WILL make friends. if you really decide its not for you, disaffiliate BEFORE initiation. and if you really want you can spring rush or rush again next fall. but chances are, if a sorority dropped you once, do you really wanna go back to them?
