Honestly, there is no benefit for a sorority to offer bids to people who would be initiated and then gone in the spring. If you would truly be a junior with two years left instead of one, you would have a somewhat better chance, but you would still have two disadvantages to think about. One, as a transfer you would not know anyone in a sorority so you wouldn't have the connections that would get you on the radar like a junior who has been at the school for two years already. But that doesn't mean you still couldn't make an impression and be wanted. Two, the main bonding and sisterhood that forms in a sorority is within each new member class, which means that you would be thrown together with mostly a bunch of 18 year old freshmen fresh out of high school, with the sophs and juniors already having their established friend groups and the seniors beginning to distance themselves and looking to graduate. Could you deal with that? If you want it bad enough there is no reason not to go ahead and rush and see what happens. If it doesn't work out for you and you get released then you would know that it's simply because of your age, and you would at least meet some people that you might maybe click with or have in class and could have a relationship with outside of sorority life. You also might get a bid and be really happy, which you'll never know unless you try. Good luck to you.
