While I do agree we all need to better ourselves, it doesn't change the fact that there are still so many immature and superficial girls/guys who come through rush. Stereotypes will exist for as long as people are judging groups of people off of a 15 minute interaction. Greek life (especially sororities) at USC are entirely too big not to have a stereotype associated with them. If you want to be part of an overall "nicer, more loving" council then you need to get out of one of the souths biggest universities/greek life systems. I'm not fighting progress at all because I do believe that we are all equal, some are just more educated than others, but this isn't an idealistic system. Greek life is intended to separate people by likes, dislikes, morals, overall character... It wasn't created to bring all people together, it was created to bring likeminded individuals together, which will naturally cause some friction within subgroups. It's like political parties. If you don't support this then you shouldn't be a part of greek life.
