How many times have you had one too many at a party? How many times have you, your bros or sisters witnessed or even encouraged others to chug alcohol or “take another shot” even when you could clearly see the person was already intoxicated? Have you ever driven a car or hopped in a friends car when you were “buzzed”? Have you ever seen someone soo messed up at a party but you left them alone figuring that one of their brothers or sisters was looking out for them? If any of these things has happened to you just realize that we are part of the problem with this binge drinking culture. Not only at this place but a many college campuses. We can’t remain apathetic. I’m not saying we should all give up drinking and socializing but I’m just sayin we need to become “smarter” about it and start acting like adults if we want to be treated as such. If you see someone clearly intoxicated at a party or event maybe we should help or get one of their bros or sisters to help them not just ignore them. It’s just not that cool to get soo drunk that you can’t function or witness others getting into that situation. College is a time to create memories not get soo wasted that you can’t remember the night before. We need to ask ourselves, if we are binge drinking to that extent......what’s the point??
