My story a I'm a freshman

I was out of state didn't know one person, I was about 75% sure sorority life wasn't for me. With a little pressure from my mom I went through rush. It was nice to meet a few "starter friends" outside of my dorm. I was surprised that my opinion changed. There was only one house that felt like it could be a home, made it only to their pref night and did not get a bid. I was kinda sad but not heartbroken. I would of dropped after the 2nd round if house XYZ didn't keep me interested. As for my starter friends except for one (who lived on my floor so I think we would of been friends anyway), a shy smile/wave was all that was left by Halloween. I will say that I'm SO glad I did it so I have a better understanding of what Greek life here is really like. You should drop as soon as you know 100% it's not for you, also you should stick it out if you change your mind. I'm involved in a few great activities and have a part time job that I love. You'll find your way and Welcome to UGA!!!
