Honestly I didn't make friends going through rush, not any that I still talk to everyday anyways. I don't know if it's the best way to go about doing that, especially because it would be a waste of whatever the deposit fee is if you are set on not joining a sorority. If you do decide to go through and find a house you really love, but you aren't sure how you feel about joining I'd still encourage you to go through pref. Otherwise you should probably drop before then.
