Disagree, a bit. Among Greek Life professionals (IFC/student life advisors), university administators, etc., Beta Theta Pi, Phi Delta Theta, Phi Gamma Delta/Fiji, Sigma Chi, and Sigma Phi Epsilon are considered "model" fraternities. That is not necessary an indicator of whether or not any of those fraternities are considered "top tier" or "respected" or "popular" on your campus. At UGA, most would consider FIJI and Sigma Chi "upper" tier fraternities. SigEp would be close behind. Beta, in the upper 25% of so. Phi Delta, maybe a step or so behind, but not too far.
