I'm baaaaack! I know you've all missed me since rush last year. Hope all is well in Athens. This year I will address the mothers instead of the girls, given the current conversation. Ladies, please remember that one of the points of women's fraternal organizations is to teach members leadership, friendship, teamwork, and articulation of and cooperation around common goals. Even if the chapter itself has some issues, your daughters' pledge classes are now at least 1/4 of the chapter! And that means they can change the chapter for the better. Isn't that what every house wants anyway - continual improvement? In a perfect world your daughters would end up at houses where they felt 100% comfortable all of the time. That won't happen - didn't even happen to Kappa Lady. But Kappa Lady's mama raised her right - and I was able to withstand peer pressure and, with a close group of friends, make some positive changes in the culture of my house (which already was a wonderful place).
