Because the sororities that tell you they are the best require that you fit a certain mold or stereotype of what an "SEC sorority girl" is. If you don't look, dress, and behave like them then they look down on you. Also, typically those who think they are the best have girls with money. Your parents having money seems to add to the prestige. Don't get discourage of offended by my statements. That is just a general basis of how sororities and fraternities are ranked. But the good news is there is a sorority for everyone. There is one that will fit you. It is best to not worry about rankings and go with the place you fit in best.
