Hey y'all I'm considering rushing a frat as a junior this fall but in order for me to do so I will have to cut an organization out of my life with the expectation I get a decent bid. I have a few questions, I know I shouldn't expect top houses, but does that mean I can have priority at all with some houses over the other? I would like to be in a frat I connect with and not just whatever offers me. Also, my parents have no financial ability to help me so I'm not sure if that will be seen negativity; however, I am a pre-med with a 3.9 gpa so could having a decent academic resume help? I just want to make sure I have a chance before dropping other orgs this summer. Also, would you recommend I reach out to social chairs for each frats specific opinions or just rush and see?
