Yeah, you should try it. Making friends and having a friend group you want to continue to be with. A new concept for you but maybe make an effort, it's never too late. But the $50K of your parents' OOS tuition money won't buy it honey, as you are finding out. You need to not resent people so much for already having what you think you are entitled to.
