Subject:
Ranking with explanations (long)

Poster Message:
Pt. 1 - Disclaimer: this is a long post because 1. I’m procrastinating writing an essay and 2. Am trying to convey the advantage all of UGAs chapters have and how I believe that reflects in the ranks. Everything here is up for debate but let’s keep it respectful. I’m tired of seeing ranks thrown out and people tearing down other chapters in the comments. If you’re not willing to read my explanations and form your own opinions, you have no business debating ranks and are likely only out to pull your chapter up or put others down. Top (old row) - ADPI, PHI MU, KAPPA, THETA, CHIO Interchangeable depending on opinion! This is mine personally. I have these houses at the top because they’re old row and will stay steady as top houses that are sought after (assuming nothing major happens). I know a lot of ranks tend to put ChiO lower but they pull great girls consistently and are seen as a good option for girls with connections. Top - KD, ZTA, AOPII, DDD Again, interchangeable but I feel a bit more solid here. KD could be moved lower depending on who you ask, there are girls every year who will drop them due to not being comfortable or feeling like they’d never fit in. All of these houses are solid and are top choices among those who don’t get old row houses back, or even those that do and are looking for a different type of sisterhood and social experience. In my opinion, these are top houses, they are just distinguished differently due to them not being “old row”. Some of these houses may recruit at a higher number than a few old row houses depending on the year, but from what I’ve seen in my time at UGA the old row houses are seemingly untouchable in ranks simply because it’s a southern school with a big Greek life presence and lots of alumni connections. Middle - SK, APHI, GPHI, DZ, AXO, PI PHI This one is long.. and PLEASE before you comment saying how messed up this order is and start a hate filed argument, hear me out. This tier is by FAR the most competitive ranking to be among and the most up for debate in regards to order. These houses are mostly competing with each other and there’s a pretty large pick of mid-tier houses. Here is my explanation for the ordering, again this is interchangeable depending on opinion. SK has put on a fantastic rush that past 4 years. They seem to have a strong sisterhood and get a pretty competitive pledge class. They’re often first in line for girls that get cut for pref from top houses. I know APHI is wildly debated on here and I don’t disagree with a lot of the discourse, they’re new and still trying to get their footing in terms of solidarity and what they want their presence to be on campus. This causes a lot of mixed and totally justified opinions. I think though, we can’t ignore that for only being a few years old they have made a lot of progress and have been very competitive amongst the middle tier. This is largely open for debate though but I personally respect what I’ve seen from them. I find GPHI and DZ to be pretty interchangeable, slightly different vibe but put on a great rush, especially over the past few years. They both have really strong sisterhoods that make them really competitive in this tier. I see both of these chapters getting a lot of hate and don’t find it totally justified. They’re great options for girls looking for a place to call home and aren’t as focused on social status or ranking.
