Also, a word about Snap bids and COB: 1) You are not eligible for either if you are offered a bid and don't accept, or accept a bid and then drop. 2) Do not count on a snap bid. Snap bids only happen right after pref before bids go out, from houses that didn't reach quota. These are few and far between, and a house that drops you is not going to turn around and give you a snap bid. So if you drop because you aren't happy with the houses you have left, it's going to be one of those who snaps you, if any. 2) COB is not a secondary mini-rush. It is not an organized thing, it's just houses maybe offering bids. Maybe. These bids can be given by houses that are under chapter total and usually not offered in fall. Sororities often don't make an announcement that they are offering bids, they just give them privately to girls they already know. Houses with more than a few to offer may have a private event or two before offering some. Either way, you have to let a house know that you want a bid from them, and it really really helps to be friends with some members.
