Adding on to this, being in a top tier sorority says absolutely nothing more than being in a bottom tier sorority (except for maybe how many connections you have) Even based on superficial stuff like looks: go look through each chapter’s insta, vsco etc.. and you’ll see girls who “look” like they could get a bid to KD/ADPi/Theta etc.... (insert your top house here), and then if you stalk the houses you view as top tier, you’ll find girls who don’t look like typical sorority girls at all. There are girls in “bottom tier” chapters dating guys on top tier frats (literally even KA and SAE). Then if you looks at things that actually matter, (sisterhood, campus involvement, leadership etc...) there’s absolutely no gap between top and bottom tier. When people, even the ones on this site, talk about who has the best sisterhood, some of the lower ranked houses are often the first that come to mind. The sorority you join is not an accurate source of self-validation nor a reflection of your personal popularity. The only real advantages of being in a “top tier” sorority are 1) better social calendar (same number of socials, just higher ranked frats) and 2) knowing people in the chapter from the beginning since top ranked houses tend to prefer girls with connections (can make it easier to find your place in the chapter from the beginning)
