Being a legacy doesn’t matter. I know of several double legacies who ended up being dropped. Legacies generally make it to round 2, but that’s it. Keep in mind most sororities already have their “wishlist” of pledges completed spring semester. Unfortunately, with a school this big, rush ends up being mostly based on who you know. Recommendation letters mainly only help if you have one from a UGA alum, but still get them sent in because some sororities have to have them to offer a bid. Regardless who you are, be prepared to be dropped by some sororities that acted like they were in love with you! Don’t worry about what you wear, as long as you look decent, there are too many girls to remember who wore what. Rush can be brutal. Keep an open mind. There really are so many near perfect rushees that EVERY UGA chapter ends up with some tip top girls. Your freshman year pledge class will literally be so important for your social life, so I strongly recommend not dropping out if your top picks drop you! Just my two cents!
