Both are non traditional traditions borrowed from Alabama at some point in the 50s and early 60s to describe uga fraternities joining before, at the time of, and after reconstruction, AND have continued dominance/popularity through time. KA chiphi and SAE have been here since the 1860s or 70s, but only SAE and KA have had the consistency they've had today since joining, it hasn't been up until the mid 1900s to where chiphi became more dominant. However since that is still almost a 70-80 year period of dominance here it's over looked and ChiPhi is included. SX PDT and Fiji are sometimes included with old row but they've been less consistent lately so they've sort of fallen out. They've had very dominant moments and history however so including them just depends on who you talk to. ATO SNu both have the history and southern national foundings to be old row but haven't had the consistency either. KS Pike and PiKapp are all really rare examples of fraternities founded after 1880 who broke into having old row and new row designations (a lot of people thought KS was old row because of their consistent dominance but never had the history or early alumni school influence). Even Theta Chi SigEp DSig and Beta(idk betas history here) are also other groups that have been very influential here over a few decades.
