Ranks Do Not Matter

Subject:
why ranking will not matter...

Poster Message:
Once you are out of your college bubble, these rankings will not matter. The sorority you bashed today, you may be working for a member of that sorority in the future. The guy that gets on here and makes derogatory comments about a sorority, may be dating someone from that sorority in 10 or 15 years. One you get out into the real world, these ranks will have absolutely no bearing on how you will do in life. Every single person in the Greek system may have to work for the nerd or idiot in a sorority or fraternity that you hated on this campus. You can't predict the future, but I think that when you bash each other in this way, it does no good. Frankly, if any Greek community in America had brains, they would work to network and work together and help each other out in the job market in the future. Let's face it, America is so divided right now and fresh college grads need all the support and networking that they can get, not just to get a job and keep it, but to promote and advance in their careers. Perhaps learning to see the strengths in each of these organizations and learning how to work with those people in organizations that are not as prestigious as yours, or popular as yours, would do you some good. America needs millennials that know how to work together, and leave the pettiness of college behind. When you get on social media and start speaking of the people and how the organizations are perceived, it instills so many bias' and stereotypes. Can we not try and play nice in the sandbox and look at the strengths that the community has among itself instead of getting on here and tearing down people that are not as rich, pretty or spoiled as some of you? It's going to be a rough world out there. We all need each other and should be networking, so that we can ALL benefit from Greek life and what it has to offer. Take the high road, people!
