Moving from three to two prefs will hurt the weaker recruiting chapters initially. Last year, girls stayed in the process if they liked one of their three preference chapters. It was not uncommon for a girl to be going to a middle house like Pi Phi or AXO but have two chapters they didn't care for but they stuck with the process because because they had hope. Preference either changed their mind and one of the other chapters grew on them and it all turned out ok. But there were a lot of girls who suicided and it didn't work out. This year may be odd, I suspect quite a few chapters will have to snap bid or COB this year due to the change.
