It used to be that legacies got carried all the way to pref, now, that's not the case. I think a legacy will get a second round invite, but that's as far as courtesy will carry you. My sorority is pretty good about honoring legacies, but I know lots and lots of girls who were cut by their legacy house very early during Rush week. Don't count on your legacy as a guarantee. Also, really give other sororities an open minded chance. Just because it was the right house for your mom/sister/grandma, doesn't mean it's the best house for you. Good luck!
