I am actually a founding sister for DPhiE here and I love it! Being a founder is, at first, completely different than getting a bid from an already existing sorority, but it ends up being the same exact thing! What I really enjoy about being a founder is that there was no reputation for us and no traditions - we've worked really hard to build a great reputation. I did rush, but I ended up withdrawing myself because I couldn't see myself in any of the last houses that I had... But anyways, being a founder is awesome. We get to decide what we do and how we do it, we get to go out there and make our name known, and we also get to decide rules, laws, and such. Starting off will be difficult, but it will be worth it! I knew I definitely found my home my second semester. Honestly, I love being a founder and I seriously think you should consider being a founder for Alpha Phi since it already looks like you are so excited about it! I have sisters that knew right away that they wanted to be a DPhiE so they didn't go through rush or anything. I think you should go through rush and check it out, see how you feel at each house and keep an open mind! If you are still thinking about Alpha Phi at the end of each day and you truly believe you are an Alpha Phi, withdraw yourself and join Alpha Phi! Whatever you decide, make sure you are doing it for YOU! You're going to have a blast!!
