Whether your an incoming freshman girl or guy, this website can very well could be the thing that keeps you from pledging a house that you would have otherwise loved. Tiers exist, sure. At school like UGA where fraternity and sorority rush is so competitive, you shouldn't think you are too good for any house. When I came in as a freshman, I focused in on the house I was a national legacy to.This caused me to overlook some other houses that I knew were interested in me because the house I was a legacy to was "better." At UGA, legacy status does not carry much weight unless you have an older sibling in the current house or your parents pledge here at UGA. Regardless, don't think any house is not good enough for you. If a house doesn't bid you, it's not the end of the world. There's nothing wrong with you as a person; that organization just missed out on an awesome potential member. Pledge a house that you fit in best with that bids you. Don't bank a second time through rush. You will most likely come to love your pledge class and the people in your house. If you hate it, give it a month and drop before initiation. Getting dead set on a house or dead set against a house will rarely work out in your favor. Even if you were to get a bid from a top tier or upper mid house, I've always seen that one sorority sister or fraternity brother in those houses who was able to get a bid after a week of rush but spend the next 4 year trying to fit in. It's not worth being a good house forthat
