Honestly, this is the biggest risk about joining a sorority, that you won't find your place despite spending hundreds and thousands. It's kind of the actives fault from the beginning for even recruiting you and then barely connecting with you or working on that friendship. Obviously not everyone is going to be best friends, but it says a lot about the sorority that they are just recruiting anyone and aren't considering whether they will integrate you into the chapter.
