Some jokes really do write themselves and the joke here is how stereotypical the reaction of people is to the adphi post which is to put the blame on sorority girls for interacting with them (and this is NOT the first time this has happened). As people in Greek life we should know that rituals and songs are kept secret so for people to assume that everyone just knows what those adphi songs are (and their existence) is really idiotic and to cut off Greek relations with one frat because of the songs (which the uoft adphi chapter is not even responsible for, their actual fraternity would be) all the frats would need to be cut off (which are not) for the actual acts of discrimination from their uoft chapter members. All of the frats at uoft have had some sort of accusation against them. In no way am I defending the adphis nor do I care for them (respectfully) but people really need to start looking at these issues in more depth and not just taking a narrative and running with it. While these songs exist, do they really portray the chapter members’ views on women? And to those who call themselves the so called “activists” of victims, don’t speak up for people unless they want to spoken up for and don’t assume their way of thinking. If you actually cared about victims you would focus on frats that have accusations against them and not make such a big fuss out of the songs that were written by random old white dudes. But the hazing stories are crazyyyyyy I personally wouldn’t do that lmfao
