Hi everyone, I went on this website on a whim out of boredom from Christmas break, and I was appalled by some of the things that people have written. Writing mean things about each other is extremely immature, and really petty if you think about it. I got into my second choice sorority, but in my genuine opinion, if I had been offered a bid by ANY of the current sororities at Wake, I would have accepted. I honestly believe that, even though there are some sororities (such as the one I joined) that would fit me better than others, I would be able to find at least a few best friends for life in every single greek organization, which in the end is all that matters. I think Wake is unique among many schools in that there really isn't currently a sorority that either everyone wants to be in or that no one wants to be in, and that is something really special. To come on this site and see people trying to demean other sororities anonymously and for their own gain is disgusting. I ended up joining a sorority completely different from all the friends that I made first semester of freshman year, and I am still extremely close to all of those friends, even though they are in different organizations. Although yes, there is some competition among the sororities during rush, I wish the best for all the other groups on campus, as I hope that my friends in other sororities are able to get wonderful new members and potential friends, just as I want for my own sorority.
