Hello to all the PNMs discovering Greek rank and getting way too into all the hot goss (I was once you). I have seen some misinformation on here from a post from 2016 when the now PNMs we’re prob in middle school. Maybe it’s sad that someone who has graduated already is on this website, but I blame rush tiktok lol. Here is some insight from a former GRC and recruitment chair. Ok, so actual rush practices: How selective a house is in giving out bids depends on how many girls they get back. Remember, it’s a mutual selection process! So if people ranked srat XYZ high on their list, that srat gets to invite back more girls than the other sororities that maybe didn’t perform as well. The process is designed to maximize your options as a PNM. And I will let you in on a secret: at wake, as long as you put two sororities down at the end of rush week (and you don’t have anything on your record) you will be accepted into a sorority. The process is designed to work as long as you maximize your options. So, what sororities are the most competitive to get into? It’s a lot different with virtual rush than it is when rush is irl. Typically, “top houses” (like kappa and beta) perform really well. But Bc rush was virtual last year, it was actually mid tier srats that performed the best. KD was incredibly selective and DDD also performed really well. “Bottom” tier srats also did better than normal. Who knows why top tier orgs didn’t do as well as normal (with the exception of beta, I think they took their biggest pc ever). I have a feeling it has to do with people getting all of their info from Greek rank instead of ivy meeting actives. 🙈 Anyways if you have anymore questions regarding the inside info about rush drop a comment and I would be happy to help.
