Other houses only care about your legacy for 3 reasons: 1. You have a sitting sister or one who graduated in the last 2-3 years 2. You are a triple or more legacy to one house 3. Your mom is a national officer or other mega-involved alumna These are situations where if you don't want your legacy you need to be politely telling every other chapter. If you just have a regular old mom or sis legacy, it's no big deal because there are hundreds of other legacies going through. In a great year, my house might pledge 40% of our legacies who are rushing. That means 60%+ choose another house or are released prior to pref. NBD. I would honestly not say anything to your legacy. You can keep ranking them last and if you get enough invitations, you won't go back. However- since you ranked them last and did go back, you clearly got released by a lot of houses. Possibly you don't have a full round 2 schedule? I would advise you to keep an open mind towards your legacy because there might come a time later this week when you will have to decide between choosing your legacy or not being Greek at all. Not saying that will happen, but it's a possibility. I don't know what made your open house experience so bad but the great thing about our chapters is that there are 200-300 girls in them who have many different personalities, backgrounds, interests, etc. It is possible to find your "tribe" in any house.
