Zeta and a lot of others do this every year. They take girls late spring, and keep it hush hush, then they can take smaller PCs and look more selective. A lot of "top" sororities don't have good retention rates, they just pay the fines and pad their numbers quietly. At least the lower tier that take spring girls let them have a mini bid day and go through the whole fun process and get the sorority experience.
