None of y'all seem to understand what COB actually is. Continuous Open Bidding can happen any time of the year after bid day in fall. Any sorority under Chapter Total Membership, which is an agreed upon limit for each sorority's membership, can offer bids to get up to whatever Chapter Total is. The number is adjusted by CPC every semester. Sororities are not required to announce that they are actively offering bids or hold events or anything as per NPC national rules. There's nothing sneaky or under the table about it just because you weren't informed that a sorority was offering some bids. They can do this however they want. If a chapter only has a few bids to offer they usually know who they want to offer them to and don't need to announce or hold events or anything, or sometimes couldn't be bothered to fill just one or two spots. Chapters who have more than a handful of bids to offer may need to announce that they are actively looking to fill them. Y'all seem to be under the impression that there is a spring rush organized by CPC, which is not the case. COB is not a coordinated effort involving CPC. They only real COB rule is that any pnm who was offered a bid during formal recruitment and declined, or accepted and dropped, is not eligible.
