We also have to keep in mind that one of the main reasons that Texas A&M do not have a big Greek life is because of the Corps of cadets. We have to consider that the Corps is the biggest "fraternity" and the top choice for many excellent gentlemen which can do very well in a fraternity. And in top of that, they are the hearth of A&M's traditions. Another reason why the corps is partly responsible for our undeveloped Greek life is our own Fraternity row. Like many know, we only got two fraternities on this row (Sigma Chi and Sigma Nu) this is because a couple of years back, when the Greeks were barely being establish on A&M, an old Alumni (who was in the Corps) bought all the land around fraternity row, and constructed duplexes. He was really against fraternity at A&M, and now days many Cadets still have the same mentality. I completely agree with you, but I also believe that now since we are in the SEC, we as the Aggie Greek community should unite for the common purpose of improving Texas A&M Greek life, and thereby improving each house in it.
