Texas is definitely a Southern state and there is so much hospitality here. Way more than almost any school in the SEC and definitely more than Texas. A&M is actually very old fashioned and nationwide has polled as one of the most conservative schools in the country. All its traditions and history also have it ranked as one of the top 10 college experiences in the country. And sorority rush will be difficult not knowing anyone, but most houses will probably take into account the fact that you are from out of state.
