After recently being accepted, I am happy to say that I will be a freshman at Texas A&M University next fall! I have been thinking about going through sorority recruitment but I'm a little worried because I'm from the North. I've heard that Texas a&m is a pretty traditionally southern and conservative school (especially the greek students) but I don't know that if that is accurate. I'm just worried about being accepted. Are there many people from the north in greek life? This is not so much a greek question but you always hear about Texas being known for "southern hospitality" and "southern gentlemen", what exactly do these mean and are these common at Texas a&m? I know it may seem like a dumb question but being from the north I'm not familiar with these things and am curious to know before I get there. Thanks you guys!
