Being from a humble background doesn't mean that you can't read the instructions panhellenic sends out. They say it's best to get recs. Every town or nearby city has panhellenic orgs that help girls get recs. Being from a humble background doesn't mean that you don't ask questions about things you intend to do and find out as much as you can. I'm annoyed that the poster tried to blame all her daughter's problems on being from a humble background. Lots of us are from very humble backgrounds but we take the time to figure out what's going on. Sounds like the original poster wants something to blame.
