I don't understand what the OP is saying or questioning. If you go to all your parties on Thursday and rank them all, PNMs can't cut themselves. They'll only be totally dropped if you don't show up ANYWHERE on anyone's invite back list. Which is really really really rare on sisterhood day. Houses invite double or triple their quota size to preference round anyways, so the chances that you are on at least one list is very high. And if you go to pref with at least one house, you are guaranteed a bid. Anyways, since sororities started using RFM (aka, computers to do rankings), cross cutting is impossible. It's just a myth now because it used to be a thing before the early 2000s when a lot of our moms/aunts went through. It can't exist now.
