If you're going through rush this year, it's too late to make connections. "Connections" = friendships from high school, camp, church, family friends, etc. Plenty of girls get bids who don't know any actives before rush starts. They have your recs and resume so the houses already know about you before rush starts. Then it's a matter of what house your personality fits in best, and how well you click with the actives you meet during rush. Also, don't listen to tent talk/ gossip. All of the houses here are great. Gamma Phi and KD are newer houses that don't have as much history and tradition as the others. That doesn't make them bottom houses. They are both full of cute, fun girls and the sorority experience is pretty much the same in every house. If you're close-minded to considering all houses, you may be closing the door to becoming Greek at A&M.
