If you're about to enter your Freshman year... how did you even get into A&M with a 2.79 GPA? If you are a Freshman, you'd be in the bottom 5th percentile of resumes we've received at our house so far... if that tells you anything... If you're a Sophmore, then yes, your GPA is below the hard cutoff for many chapters here on campus. Expect to have only 2 or 3 options on your Day 2, even if you are drop dead gorgeous. I'm sorry if that's harsh news, but school is only going to get more difficult, and your GPA will most likely only go down, and that's not something houses want to risk.
