No, you are not guaranteed a bid if you go through rush. You are ONLY guaranteed a bid if you make it to pref AND if you list EVERY house you prefffed on your card. Then, and only then, are you guafanteed a bid to one of your pref houses, This is what is called "maximizing your options" during rush. Fewer than 5-6% of PNM's end up with no party invitations at some point during rush week. They are usually girls with "questionable" moral reputations, girls with no recs, upperclassmen who are grade risks, or the occasional super awkward girl. The majority of girls who don't get bids choose to drop out because they don't like the houses that invited them back or girls who suicide on pref night (i.e., didn't maximize their options).
