True. Kappa and Tri Delt get top picks during recruitment. But I get the feeling that this is largely because they have the reputation of being top houses and try extremely hard to reinforce this, both in person and online. When you're a high school girl coming into college not knowing anything and have only had a short time to get to know anyone in any of the sororities, why would you pick anything other than what is supposedly "the best"? Girls will always choose DDD and KKG over others. But you'll also notice that a very large portion of them will end up regretting it or feeling like another house would've been a better fit. Not trying to bag on Kappa and Tri Delt, great sororities, but I've met a very large portion of girls in those sororities who constantly mention not liking their sisters, the way their sorority operates, or wishing they'd gone somewhere else. On the other hand, I have seen very little of that in other sororities here, even the so called "lower tier" ones
