<strong>Subject:</strong><br />advice for pnms!!!!<br /><br /> Poster Message:
Here is my advice for incoming pnms while going through recruitment: -Keep an open mind! -Do not name drop while in a house (don't tell a girl in one house that your friends or a legacy for another house..) -Do not be disrespectful to the girls! I don't care how much you dislike a house, girls in that house have friends in other chapters and CAN tell them if you were rude....not worth risking being cut from everyone! -Don't take cuts personally. If you were not invited back to a house, just realize you weren't the best fit for their chapter! You barely know what that sorority is like and why would you want to be in a sorority that didn't want you/didn't see you as the best fit? -Don't be afraid to let your opinions change. Each day you only have a limited amount of time in each house, so it's difficult to have a firm opinion sometimes. If you are open minded, you'll be surprised which houses you love by the end of the week vs the beginning! -Don't lie about what you did in high school....Chances are that girl looked at your resume and has a feel of what you are like. Just be honest and real! -Ask questions! The girl rushing you wants to tell you all about her chapter! Don't be afraid to talk! -Do NOT bring up boys or parties. This is a MAJOR red flag. There are good parties at A&M and boys that I'm sure you will like...so chill out and please do not talk about this for your sake. -HAVE FUN!!! You will meet lots of other girls, make new friends, and find your home!
