Before I post this, I just want to say that there is no such reputation that will apply to every member of each sorority. The things that I've compiled are generalizations of each house on campus based on how the majority of its members act. Also, every sorority at LSU is great. It's a PRIVILEGE to be considered greek here, no matter which sorority you pledge. Let's go down the row: Phi mu- some of the most well rounded girls I know are phi mu's. They know how to have fun, but manage to have incredible GPAs. Phi mu is one of the "cliquier" sororities here. They also don't have the strongest sisterhood. Every phi mu I've ever met is gorgeous and has a great personality. Aside from the cliquiness, it's a great sorority. Delta Gamma- DGs are some of the more reserved sorority girls. They definitely don't party as hard as some of the other houses on campus. They're rising up, especially with this year's pledge class. Tri Delta- Tri delts have a bad rep on campus especially after the leaked song. Like every sorority, there is a variety of personalities. Some tridelts are extremely cliquy. They know they're gorgeous, and they will make you feel inferior. However, a lot of tridelts (mainly in this year's pledge class) are genuine people. Some of the nicest, most involved girls I've met on campus are tridelts. This is a prime example of why sorority reputations don't mean anything. Delta Zeta- DZ's may not be the hottest, but they sure know how to make the most out of their time here at LSU. DZs are driven. They're involved in many clubs and organizations. This is not to say that other sororities aren't involved, but DZs definitely go above and beyond in these areas! Pi phi- definitely the most laid back sorority here. If you can't stand disorganization, this probably isn't the sorority for you. These girls never miss a chance to have fun! Kappa- kappas are classy ladies. They're popular among all of the sororities and fraternities. They're very welcoming and easy to be friends with. Theta- it's no secret that theta struggles here, which is sad since theta is such a nationally strong sorority. They're pledge class this year was one of the best. If they keep giving bids to cool, gorgeous girls like they have this fall, they're sure to start rising. They have a great sisterhood, aside from the mean cliquy girls that you find in every sorority. Zeta- zeta struggles at LSU just like theta. Similarly, their pledge class this year was great! Kappa Delta- KDs are really sweet and cool once you get to know them, but they do come off as snobby. They don't associate much with girls in other sororities, but they have an incredibly strong chapter. Their GPA is always high and they raise a lot of money for their philanthropy. Definitely one of the strongest sororities at LSU. Chi Omega- chi o's can come off as one of the more "religious" sororities. They're extremely responsible and conservative. They're definitely welcoming to everyone. Not snobby at all. Alpha phi- alpha phi hasn't established much of a reputation here since they're so new. You'll find every type of girl in this sorority.
