This exactly. If you chose your sorority because you got caught up in the idea of popularity/ranks, or wanting to be like girls you thought were "cool/pretty/hangs with the hottest guys", instead of girls you actually felt comfortable talking to and enjoyed being around then your experience won't get better. No one in your sorority owes you their friendship and you might find you don't fit in. Sororities mid and lower down also tend to have better sisterhoods for PNMs who don't have strong connections because everyone is in the same boat so your chances of making friends are higher. All sororities have similar events but different groups of girls offer you different experiences. It's flattering and exciting being offered invites to top sororities but it might not be what you needed. When you accept a bid/invite ask yourself that if you fail to make friends is this an org you're still happy to rep and actually stand for. Plus you can make friends outside your chapters.
