Dear Chi Omega, Based on the information presented and discussed, your organization, Chi Omega, accepts Responsibility for their actions, which constituted a violation of LSU’s Code of Student Conduct, specifically: 10.2 Coercive Behavior -- Responsible 10.2 Alcohol -- Responsible As a result of the incident that occurred on August 22, 2022, were members of Chi Omega held an unregistered gathering with alcohol between select sophomore and freshman members of the organization, Chi Omega, has submitted an Enhancement Plan. This will meet the requirements of the partnership process with Student Advocacy & Accountability: Organization Warning This accountability status will be effective December 22, 2022 through December 31, 2023. During this time, the organization may forfeit privileges as outlined below. The warning could be reflected on the Student Organization Scorecard. With respect to the information listed above, the following additional sanctions/stipulations apply: 1. Chapter leadership will read this letter in its entirety to the chapter. Proof of this will be provided to SAA by February 6, 2023. 2. The chapter will participate in an in-person Hazing Prevention Education conducted by LSU Greek Life staff. The chapter will provide proof of 90% attendance to SAA by March 20, 2023. 3. The chapter will host a bystander intervention and health & wellness workshop to be led by a representative from Chi Omega Executive Headquarters. The chapter will provide proof of 90% attendance to SAA by April 15, 2023. 4. The chapter will participate in Alcohol Skills Training Program led by a representative from Chi Omega Executive Headquaters. The chapter will provide proof of 90% attendance to SAA by April 15, 2023. 5. The chapter will participate in a training led by a member of the Mock Trial Committee (Chi Omega Executive Headquarters) to understand legal repercussions of individual and chapter actions. The chapter will provide proof of 90% attendance to SAA by April 15, 2023. 6. The chapter will complete additional educational outcomes required by the Chi Omega Executive Headquarters. The chapter will provide proof of completion of these outcomes. The following items will be completed by the deadline indicated and with verification of each item's completion submitted to Student Advocacy & Accountability using the online reporting form or via email. The Enhancement Plan and Accountability Outcome will be kept on file in Student Advocacy & Accountability. The Enhancement Plan will also be shared with all relevant LSU and headquarters staff.
