I had the same questions and concerns last year.My daughter had the same sororities on her list when she entered rush week.To my understanding,to be on social probation means no formal (approved) events for the year.Formal events are a huge aspect of sorority and Greek life.My daughter pledged with a sorority that was not on her initial list and is extremely happy.She went with the sorority that "felt right" for her.I hope this is of some help.
