Very well said. What you shared was pretty similar to the advice I gave to my cousins when they rushed sororities at San Diego State, UCLA and Southern Cal. To Alabama - do not exchange your dignity for popularity. Your self-worth should not be determined by your level of popularity or how good you look to other people.
