What you're heard is true. No top sorority wants a girl who dropped a lower sorority. I would suggest that you are in control of your attitude. You basically have to decide if you want to be greek or not. If so, this is probably your only chance, so make the most of it. Go hang out with your sisters. Meet all the older members you can. Run for office in your class. Find older girls in your major and get to know them. Ask for help getting involved. The more you throw yourself into your sorority, the more you'll get out of it. And if you're thinking that it's social suicide to be a member of "that" chapter, relax. At TCU, greeks don't look at rank among themselves. And what's really great are the alums from "lower" (at TCU) sororities that are fantastic women. Some bloom later and some are from chapters at other universities. So I would urge you to stay in and find a way to make it work.
