Dropping out is NOT not receiving a bid! It's quitting because you think you're too good for the sororities you have left. The truth is that very few PNMs go bidless, that is get dropped completely by the system before preference round. Maybe less than ten? The ones that usually claim they were "dropped" all had invites left, but they chose not to maximize their options because they thought they were too good for those houses. Keep an open mind. Be nice to everyone you meet. Go to all your parties and maximize your options. Do these things and there's almost 100% guarantee you will receive a bid. (It might not be to your first choice or "top" house, but you will not be the dreaded "bidless." That really doesn't happen much.)
